I have had inquiries from several people as to who I (random person who friended them) am.  If you are one of those people, let the following be the summary of all things relevant.

*  I am a reader of fanfic.  That is, in fact, the only reason I have an lj; to keep track of fics by authors I like.  Therefore, if I have added you to my friends list, it's because I was either amused or impressed by your writing (or, in a few cases, your drawings).  I am relatively picky about what I read, so I tend to pick specific authors, and track them in order to get my fandom fix.

*  I am an engineering student.  Therefore, I have no time, and very rarely respond anything.  I read either on my lunch break or just before I sleep.  Therefore, if you send me a message of any kind, and I don't respond, please don't take it personally.  It means that I've been eaten by work, and am just not up to responding to anyone at the moment.

*  I don't share personal information of almost any kind on line (the obvious exception being my major.  I mean, really, there are thousands of engineering students in this country, and if you can track me from just that, you deserve to find me).  I am highly paranoid like that.  Therefore, it is quite likely that this is the only post you will see from me (unless something changes in the near future).

I hope that this clarifies, and assures you all that I am neither a bot nor a creepy stalker.

Normally, I don't post the results when I indulge in one of these quizzes, but the results of this one created a sort of extended coincidence (which may not be a coincidence at all), and as such, seemed worth preserving.

What color is your soul painted?

Purple

Your soul is painted the color purple, which embodies the characteristics of sensuality, spirituality, creativity, wealth, royalty, nobility, mystery, enlightenment, arrogance, gaudiness, mourning, confusion, pride, delicacy, power, meditation, religion, and ambition. Purple falls under the element of Earth, and was once a European symbol of royalty; today it symbolizes the divine.

Now, in high school, I had a friend who was an hereditary pagan. Her family had been priestesses of some sort for as many generations as they had record of. Now, had an interesting talent. She could tell, without seeing or hearing anything, who was in a room with her, or even who had just left a room. She said (after a lot of pestering) that it was because she could see and sense auras.

Now, how does this relate, you may ask.

She told me once that she had a hard time sensing me (I was the only person who could ever sneak up on her), and that when she did detect me, I came across as being purple. She said I was the only person she knew who had a purple aura. Now, at the time, I just kind of humored her. I'm a rather skeptical person by nature. However, I met another person with the same ability recently, who told me the same thing.

So, when I took this quiz, and came up with this result, it just seemed like the odd end to a rather long coincidence. Or maybe not. There are indeed, more things in heaven and earth...

I jus realized how SMALL the world is on the internet.  I've been conversing with someone for a while, but we just realized that there's a good chance that we do (or rather, will) know each other in real life.  I've always enjoyed the anonymity of the internet, so it always suprises me a little when my online life infringes so closely upon my real life.
It also drives home a point that so many of us miss.  What we do and say on the internet can have an effect upon our face-to-face interaction.  We may think that all of this exists in a vacuum, but it doesn't.  People WILL pre-judge us based on things like livejournal, or MySpace, or whatever forums we post online.

As the subject says, I have nothing useful to say.  I am hoping that, by posting my lack of anything to say, livejournal will leave me alone and stop "reminding" me that I haven't posted anything.  Therefore, this is, in essence, a wasted post.
There's something almost philosophical about.  A post which expresses its own futility, and serves no purpose other than existance.  Maybe, if I had gotton enough sleep any time this week, I would write something expressing this self--fulfilling emptiness.
Er...right.
I definently need to stop writing things down when I'm sleep deprived.  They always come out either incredibly geeky and psuedo-intellectual, or  effectively incoherent.
